Windspiel Gin: Dry Gin from Vulkaneifel potatoes

Windspiel is a gin distillery in Berlingen near Daun in the Vulkaneifel region, founded in 2014 by Sandra Wimmeler and Denis Lönnendonker. What distinguishes Windspiel from most gins is the base: instead of grain alcohol, the distillery uses alcohol made from potatoes grown on their own farm in the mineral-rich volcanic soil of the Eifel. This gives the gin a smooth and slightly creamy texture, allowing the botanicals room to shine. It is distilled in Germany, and the distillery operates using solar power.

Premium Dry Gin, editions, and non-alcoholic Windspiel

The Windspiel Premium Dry Gin at 47% vol is the classic: clear, juniper-forward with citrus notes. The Christmas Gin is our brand's top seller, spicy and wintry. For the curious, there is the Caxambu Coffee Gin, the Kampot Pepper Gin, and the fruity Pink Grapefruit Gin, as well as the Aperitivo, a bitter orange liqueur for spritzes. How to drink Windspiel

As a Gin Tonic: 4 cl of gin over plenty of ice, top with 12 cl of tonic, add a lemon or grapefruit zest. The Coffee Gin works well in an Espresso Martini, the Pepper Gin in a Negroni. All gins are available for ages 18 and up.
