Berger Confiserie from Lofer in the Salzburg region: The Berger family has been making chocolate and pralines since 1994, now in the second generation. Here you will find filled chocolate bars, the company's trademark, organic bars in milk, dark, and white chocolate with fruit and nut pieces, gift bars for thank yous and birthdays, cat tongues, and fruit jellies.

Berger Confiserie: Chocolate from Lofer

It all started in 1994 in a garage in Lofer, in the Pinzgau Saalachtal valley. Hubert Berger, master confectioner and chocolatier, and his wife Christine specialized there in pralines and fine chocolate. To this day, production takes place exclusively in Lofer, and many steps remain handmade: fillings are cooked, poured into wafer-thin chocolate shells, and coated with chocolate. Today, their children Anna and Franz Berger run the manufactory together with their parents.

Filled bars – the praline as a bar

Berger's trademark is their delicately filled bars, a variation of the classic praline. The Organic Milk Chocolate Tonka Bean Filled has a creamy ganache, the Dark Chocolate Pomegranate Filled combines 70% cocoa with a fruity filling, and the Milk Chocolate Almond Nougat Filled is for nougat fans. Each filled bar weighs 100 g.

Organic bars with fruit and nuts

The classic bars are available as organic Dark Chocolate with at least 70% cocoa and as milk chocolate with at least 37% – with pieces of raspberry, fig, or caramel, as dark chocolate with orange, dark chocolate with sour cherry pieces, and as white chocolate with strawberry pieces. The organic products are certified according to AT-BIO-301.

Chocolate as a gift

For small occasions, Berger offers greeting bars with custom designs: Thank You and Happy Birthday, both organic milk chocolate. In addition, there are the organic milk chocolate "cat tongues" and the colorful fruit jelly mix. We include seasonal bars for Easter and Christmas as soon as they become available.
