Die Honigwanderer: Bio-Honig aus Wanderimkerei | Leni & Hans
The Honey Wanderer

The Honey Wanderers combine organic beekeeping with migratory beekeeping: The bee colonies travel to near-natural nectar regions in Germany, wherever the flowers are currently in bloom. The honey is gently extracted, filtered, and bottled without heating. We offer six varieties, ranging from mild acacia honey to tart chestnut honey, 250 g each.

Die Honigwanderer: Organic honey from migratory beekeeping

Die Honigwanderer (The Honey Wanderers) originated from the idea of combining organic beekeeping with migratory beekeeping. The bee colonies do not stay in the same place all year round, but travel to selected, natural forage areas in Germany, far away from intensive agriculture. The partner apiaries work according to EU organic guidelines and attach great importance to the well-being of the bees. Today, the Goldnote apiary run by Simon and Stefanie Weber from Röhrnbach in the Bavarian Forest continues to operate the brand as their organic line.

Authentic raw honey, variety by variety

The honey is gently extracted, strained, and bottled without heating; it is not fine-filtered. Nothing is blended either; each variety is bottled on its own. Mild and liquid for months, the acacia honey from the black locust is ideal for sweetening tea and muesli. The spring honey from fruit blossoms and dandelions is creamed and golden-bright. The linden honey from the summer nectar of the linden tree carries a subtle note of menthol and goes well in herbal or mint tea. All three are light, rather mild varieties for the breakfast table.

Robust varieties from summer and forest

The summer honey contains blackberry, linden, clover, and summer herbs, with a fruity, spicy, and warm tone. The forest honey is produced from the honeydew of spruce and fir trees and has a spicy taste with a subtle resinous note. The most tart is the sweet chestnut honey from chestnut forests, a honey for cheese and game. These three varieties are great for savory cooking, for instance in marinades, sauces, or for glazing vegetables.

Order Die Honigwanderer online

At Leni & Hans, you can get Die Honigwanderer honeys delivered to your door in 1–3 days. Store the jars in a cool, dry place away from light. If honey hardens, this is a natural process; it can be made liquid again in a warm water bath at a maximum of 40 °C. Generally, honey is not suitable for babies under twelve months of age.
