TAIGA Naturkost: the Siberian cedar nut in the Palatinate
TAIGA Naturkost is based in Harthausen in the Palatinate. It all began in 1999 with Alexander Sojnikow, a Russian composer who founded a publishing house after immigrating – and starting in 2004, brought the cedar nuts of his homeland to Germany: seeds of the Siberian cedar from certified organic wild collection in the Altai mountains. This became the brand TAIGA Naturkost in 2010, and today his son Jaroslaw Sojnikow runs the company in the second generation. Since 2025, TAIGA has been pressing cedar nut oil using its own oil press in the Palatinate.
Cedar nut butter, cedar nut oil, cedar flakes
The cedar nut butter consists of nothing but finely ground cedar nuts, while the cedar nut chocolate cream adds dates and cocoa. The cedar nut oil is cold-pressed, and the cedar flakes are the partially defatted nuts from the press – for muesli, baking, or over salad. According to the manufacturer, all products are processed as raw food.
Wild forest pesto, sprouted mueslis, and nut mixes
The Siberian forest pesto combines wild-harvested wild garlic with cedar nuts and olive oil, while the Bear Pesto adds chestnuts, cranberries, and blueberries. For breakfast, there are three sprouted mueslis – Mascha’s Kascha as a base, Ivan’s Muesli with fruit, and the gluten-free Nastja’s Muesli – as well as the mixes GeNuss-Mix kunterbunt and Supermix Taiga and goji berries.
