Sandra, why are you a Negroni fan, and on what occasions do you prefer to drink this classic?
Negroni is a timeless drink that you can simply enjoy at any time. It combines something special with the three classic types of spirits. Even when sticking to the original recipe, every version harbors its own character that is fascinating time and again. Negroni is a classic aperitif, and that is also when I like to drink it most – when we go out to eat with friends or are cooking at home.
What is your classic Negroni recipe, and why does the aroma of your Premium Dry Gin pair so well with it?
Stir 3 cl of Windspiel Gin, 3 cl of red vermouth, and 3 cl of Campari cold in a tumbler with large ice cubes. Twist an orange zest over the glass and use it as a garnish. That's it. Our Windspiel spirits integrate excellently into a Negroni, even when mixing everything in equal parts. This gives the drink many nuances and allows each ingredient space to shine in the interplay of aromas.
What is your personal Negroni twist, and why does it provide such a special tasting experience?
There are several exciting twists, and it is hard to say which is our favorite at the moment. Taste is ultimately limitless, and we are always curious to see what awaits us. Just a few days ago, I was served a Negroni smoked with rose petals – a delicate interplay. Last year, we were more into Dirty & Spicy and created a Negroni recipe with our Windspiel Kampot Pepper Gin. We say cheers!
