A conversation with Lena A. Härter from Bockfieber
Ms. Härter, what is Bockfieber?
Bockfieber is a hunting term. It describes a hunter's state of mind shortly before and after taking a shot — full of adrenaline and intense concentration. Today, Bockfieber also stands for our premium liqueurs. We have definitely made a name for ourselves.
How did you come up with the idea to produce liqueurs yourself?
My father had the idea for Bockfieber. He is a passionate hunter. Traditionally, you drink a herbal liqueur after a hunt. My father didn't like the taste of the standard varieties available. So, he developed his own herbal liqueur with a master distiller friend. After long experiments, he gave the first Bockfieber to friends in 2015 — everyone was thrilled.
At that time, I had just finished my bachelor's degree in marketing communications and advertising. So, my father brought me on board. I developed a marketing concept, and a friend and I created the design for Bockfieber.
At Bockfieber, natural aromas take center stage. What is the secret of your recipe?
I don't think we have any big secret. But we place great value on the quality of production and ingredients. We use only natural aromas and do not use any artificial additives.
