A conversation with the founders of Brandgut
Welcome, Meike and Daniel! Please tell us how the idea for Brandgut came about.
Meike: Oh, thank you so much! The idea for Brandgut came up quite spontaneously while we were at the fair. We just love walking around there and snacking on roasted almonds. One day, the idea was born to create delicious, crunchy spreads from roasted almonds and other nuts.
Daniel: Exactly, and since we have both always been passionate amateur cooks, we simply put the idea into practice.
That sounds really exciting! How did you develop your first recipes?
Meike: Well, that was quite a process. We experimented a lot and combined various nuts and ingredients until we found the perfect blend. Of course, we also enlisted friends and family as taste testers to get feedback.
Daniel: Exactly, and the feedback was really positive, which encouraged us to keep going.
I can really understand that! And how did the founding of Brandgut come about?
Meike: After so many people told us how much they loved our spreads, we decided to turn our passion into a career. We did a lot of research, talked to producers and experts, and finally took the step into self-employment.
Daniel: That’s exactly right, and that’s how Brandgut was born – from our love for good, honest ingredients and handmade delicacies.
